hospice volunteer opportunities

Hospice was founded on the work of volunteers. Volunteers continue to be an integral part of the hospice team that includes doctors, nurses, certified nurse’ assistants, social workers, and spiritual care providers. At Ancora, we value the commitment and dedication of our volunteer team. These individuals give countless hours back to our community and patients, enhancing the lives and giving honor to their end-of-life journey. Ancora is always seeking individuals interested in giving back to fellow community members in a variety of ways. See below for more ways to volunteer today!

The activities volunteers can do as a hospice volunteer may be many and varied. From reading at a patient’s bedside and knitting lap blankets to providing pet therapy or helping with administrative duties – there’s a wide range of possibilities.
